A discovery through glass with Helen Phelan
As a church going child I had my first experience of glass being used architecturally and a lot of my thinking is grounded in my early exposure to this synthesis of light form and colour. I love the drawn line, the way it cleaves empty space creating form.
Over they years I have studied colour and its physiological and psychological effects on people, also its use in ritual. I find colour compelling and beautiful and I am always exploring new ways of presenting this thinking through the processes that I use.
